On December 7th, our Council held the Annual Children’s Christmas Party for the young and young at heart at the Council Home. Approximately 50 children were treated to Pizza, Hot Dogs, Drinks, A Christmas Story from Father Finn, Magician Pat Ward and Santa Claus arriving by Fire Truck. This year’s Co-Chairs were Bill and Karen Gaffney. Thanks to everyone for their continued assistance and generosity. Below are a few pictures of the day.
Father Finn Tells A Christmas Story to the group, Pat Ward "works in some magic", and Santa Claus is comin' to town!!!
Pictured with Santa are the "good boys and girls" of the 2008 Party Committee.

Council Holding Community Breakfast Buffet on January 18th
Our Council is pleased to announce that we are holding a Community Breakfast Buffet on Sunday January 18th at the council home. It will run from 8:30am to 12:30pm. Tickets for the breakfast are $8.00 for adults, $5.00 for Children 6-12 yrs, and children 5 and under are free. We are looking for as much help as we can get. We need people to serve, seat, clean tables, cook, clean, and much more. If you are able to assist, please contact any Council officer or Chairman Jim Nardone. Also, there is a sign up sheet on the bulletin board at the Council Home. We are hoping that this is just the first of many successful Council Community breakfasts.

Welcome to Pittston Knight Life Online
As we begin a new year in 2009, I wanted to give you a place to find more of the news and information that you depend on from the Pittston Knights of Columbus. This news will be in addition to our current newsletter and website structure. Unfortunately, due to publishing deadlines and the quarterly publishing format, plus space constraints, there may be some meetings or other important event dates that may not be available at the time of publication. As a result, I wanted to give our members an additional online resource to get Council information in REAL TIME. I hope that you find this to be another helpful tool in finding out what is going on within our Council. Feel free to check in from time to time for the latest happenings and other news from your President John F. Kennedy Council.
Fraternally Yours,
Rob Joyce - Grand Knight
